The Wizard's Journey

One stock character of the Commedia dell' Arte is Il Dottore, who is usually either an academe or a physician - in either case, a pretentious know-it-all who really knows nothing at all. In our production, we made him into a Wizard, who is taking his merry band on a search for clues through various locations form Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Dungeons & Dragons - all fueled by inept translations of pidgin Latin.
