Basic Photoshop steps: 1. Copied background image to a new layer and posterized as subtly as possible to create a rim around the eye's iris. 2. Copied background image to a new layer and applied diffuse glow; darkened it; erased eyes to revel posterized eyes; 3. Copied background image to a new layer and applied texturizer with cracquelure; 4. Adjusted layer densities to taste and merged all layers; 5. Copied image to new layer and applied spotlight lighting effect; adjusted density to taste. 6. Made borders, and done ...

This is a work of art. I like the portrait as it must be (the pose) but what you have done in processing her image has surely enhanced this to museum-quality levels. Bravo Ken!

The effect gives her a deeper and mysterious feel, I like it.
