Michele's Feet Sink in the SandPosted by Ken McCoy (Orlando-Daytona Beach, FL, United States) on 16 October 2007 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio. Although montaged together for a fancy roll film impression, these 4 shots were taken about 15 seconds apart. The sand at the Canaveral National Seashore is "coquina" - rough-textured shell fragments that have not yet been pulverized into a fine powder. They shed water very well, so they may look like solid dry ground, but the water underneath keeps things lively. Don't stand in one spot for too long!
