Having arrived in Birmingham, Alabama, this was taken on top of a bluff overlooking the valley below, at a dining establishment called the "Tip Top Grill."

Maybe your dad is where you get your photographic ability. He has done an excellent job at least. Wonderful portrait; composed nicely, good focus and dof.
