I will be hitting the road for a few days to ready a musical theatre production of "Kiss Me Kate," Cole Porter's musical based on Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew." Before the soon-to-come onslaught of new travel and rehearsal pix, here is one from my 1993 production to remind everyone what I'm up to.
PETRUCHIO ... Myself am moved to woo thee for my wife.
KATHARINA Moved! in good time: let him that moved you hither Remove you hence: I knew you at the first You were a moveable.
PETRUCHIO Why, what's a moveable?
KATHARINA A join'd-stool.
PETRUCHIO Thou hast hit it: come, sit on me.
KATHARINA Asses are made to bear, and so are you.
PETRUCHIO Women are made to bear, and so are you.
(Ouch!)

Ho ho ho! Great quote from script - old Will at his wittiest - I can see that he puns on "moveable" - in French that's "immeuble" for furniture. What a good idea to post here the perfect page & stage shot.
