When I lived in Chicago (1984-1989), I had a day job in graphics. Although I eventually performed nearly every job function in the production office, I started as proofreader. This was my neat little corner of the light table, where I furthered my education by listening to NPR all day long on my pre-ipod music device. My workspace since has rarely been as neat.
