I think it's a nice idea - A subdued flower shot, instead of using vibrant colors. What did you do to get this effect?

@Alex: I used a PhotoShop action called "iHalcyon" that came on the CD with Peter iNova's D70 ebook. From what I can tell, it creates three color adjustment layers: one overlay for cool highlights, one overlay for warm shadows, and a curves mask that blurs, desaturates, and flattens contrast. It's fairly complex, but I think it was designed more for people and architecture than macro nature photography.
